Yara’s Women in Agriculture initiative is a 9-months internship program designed to develop female talents into drivers of change, providing tailored benefits to women farmers and those in the agricultural sector.
Female farmers are often faced with socio-cultural challenges which limit their potential contribution and impact on farm productivity, food and income self-sufficiency. Additionally, emerging threats arising from climate change and soil degradation are further compounding the ability of female farmers to have a successful agribusiness venture. Successful candidates for this role, will work directly with female farmers facing these challenges with the overall objective of accelerating adoption of sustainable farming and enhancing farmer prosperity.
The candidates will be trained and equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to enable them to achieve the objective. Additionally, the candidates will receive mentorship from established industry players in various career fields to ensure that the candidates receive an all-round skills and experiences relevant in the industry.
This program is open to female candidates who have recently graduated or awaiting graduation from agriculture related course (e.g. BSc. Agriculture/Horticulture/Agronomy/Agribusiness/Soil Science/Crop Nutrition, etc)
